Shel's Pedigree

Shel is from Bu's second litter and Dawn is her mother.  She's a lover like both parents - kisses and hugs all the time!  Including kisses to her new half sisters!

Shel was my special girl.  She was the only girl in a litter of 3. When we were trying to choose a name for her, both of us thought of the song "Orange Blossom Special" but decided not to use it at that time. When two separate sets of friends came up with the same name after seeing her the first time, we decided that she was fated to have that name, so we had to figure out how to fit in the allowable AKC name size and what to use as her call name.  So we shortened the spelling and decided to call her Shel - short for "Special".

Shel loved to show for me and as a result, I put all of her points on her. She was exclusivley shown in the Bred-By class.  My favorite memory is when she won her first major and then won BOB over her sire, Bucky, with Russell showing him.  It was a wonderful day!  I was determined to give her the time she needed to mature and finish her championship, especially after her half-sisters finished theirs.  She was her dam's 5th champion and earned Dawn's ROM title for her.

Shel is sorely missed.
